Poems & Experiences

Good Brown Girls

In Good Brown Girls, Parul writes for the women who have always lived between worlds, for the women who paves the way, to new places, to the women who were born between them.  Between countries, between who they were told to be and who they are becoming.

Inspired by the South Asian immigrant experience and the lives of first-generation brown women in America, these poems move through a journey of discovery, from Anjaan (unknown) to Jaan (known to one’s heart).
